Eight years of study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition shows that people who ate fried potatoes more than twice per week doubled their risk of an early death. Boiled potatoes did not make the harsh statistics – only the fried ones like French fries, potato chips, hash brown…
The death percentage is quite high with a 50 % death rate on participants. That is bad news for Mac Donald’s who forces farmers to treat their Russet Burbank potatoes with some of the most lethal chemicals to humans and the environment.
As people absorb information on the dangers of eating fried potatoes and modify their eating habits and consumption, It may force these companies to adopt new standards of production with more consideration to their clientele’s health and the environment.
Such change would greatly benefit the farmers, which we will discuss in a later blog.
